This week was established in honor of Phi Mu’s founding as the Philomathean Society in early March of 1852. Since all interfraternal organizations have a Ritual and/or Creed, NRCW allows us to reflect on, and celebrate, how we as members live out those values. Each September, Phi Mu participates in the National Hazing Prevention Week educational campaign. During NHPW, Phi Mu chapters across the country can choose to facilitate an educational Phi Mu program about hazing on their campus that is open to members from all student organizations. Phi Mu has also created a supplemental social media campaign, including resources, that chapters can use to distribute information to their campus communities. By sharing this campaign with our chapters and on our platforms, Phi Mu hopes to continue the conversation about hazing on a national and local level.
